MSC World Asia to Feature the Largest Venchi Chocolate Experience at Sea

If you have a sweet tooth, MSC World Asia may be the ship to sail on.

When the new flagship enters service in December 2026, it will debut the largest Venchi chocolate experience at sea, giving guests an interactive destination dedicated to one of Italy's most famous premium chocolate brands.

Located in the ship's indoor Galleria on Deck 6, the new Venchi venue will be the first on an MSC World Class ship and the largest in the fleet. The space will combine a chocolate shop, café, and gelateria with seating for more than 60 guests.

One of the biggest attractions will be a live chocolate-making station where guests can watch chocolatiers create fresh treats throughout the day. Those looking for an even more hands-on experience will be able to design their own custom chocolate bars using premium ingredients such as Piedmont hazelnuts and Venchi's signature chocolate caviar. Digital design tools will even let guests personalize their creations before they're made.

Of course, there will be plenty to enjoy without making your own chocolate. The venue will offer authentic Italian espresso, specialty coffee drinks, freshly baked croissants, crêpes, Gelato shakes, and a wide variety of artisanal gelato flavors. In the evenings, the café will transform with a menu of chocolate-inspired cocktails for adults.

MSC Cruises and Venchi are also introducing an exclusive new gelato flavor called "Crunchy Waves." The dessert features creamy vanilla gelato topped with crunchy hazelnut biscuit pieces and salted toffee before being finished with a bright blue spirulina layer designed to resemble the colors of the Mediterranean Sea.

The new flavor will be available aboard MSC World Asia when the ship launches and will also become a permanent offering on other MSC ships that already feature Venchi gelaterias. Guests on land will even have a chance to try it first, as Venchi stores will offer the flavor during the month of August.

The chocolate venue is just one part of MSC World Asia's extensive food and beverage lineup. The ship will feature more than 40 restaurants, bars, lounges, and cafés, many created in partnership with well-known culinary brands and chefs.

MSC World Asia is scheduled to enter service on December 4, 2026, sailing seven-night Mediterranean itineraries with embarkation ports including Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia (Rome), and Messina.

For cruisers who love desserts, coffee, or authentic Italian chocolate, MSC's newest ship looks like it will offer one of the most unique sweet experiences at sea.
