Seattle Cruise Port Parking Guide (2026)

Driving to your Alaska cruise from Seattle? The good news is that parking at the Port of Seattle is relatively easy, but where you park depends on which cruise terminal your ship is using. Seattle has two cruise terminals, Pier 91 (Smith Cove Cruise Terminal) and Pier 66 (Bell Street Cruise Terminal) and each offers a different parking experience.

Pier 91 (Smith Cove Cruise Terminal)

If you're sailing from Pier 91, you'll park in the official on-site Lot D at 2001 W. Garfield Street. This secure, open-air lot is operated specifically for cruise passengers and is monitored throughout the cruise season.

Although the parking lot is next to the terminal, a complimentary shuttle continuously transports guests and their luggage between the parking areas and the terminal entrance. Luggage assistance is also available, making the process simple even if you're traveling with several bags.

Parking is available in several tiers:

Economy Parking starts at $27 per day (about $187 for a seven-day cruise).

Standard Parking is approximately $220 for seven days.

Premium Parking, located closest to the shuttle pickup area, costs about $329 for seven days.

RV and oversized vehicle parking is also available for approximately $47 per day.

One advantage of Pier 91 is that there are no vehicle height restrictions, making it the preferred option for larger SUVs, trucks, vans, RVs, or vehicles with rooftop cargo carriers. If you're driving anything taller than a standard vehicle, this is the terminal you'll want.

One tip: because the lot is quite large, take a photo of your parking location before boarding your cruise. After a week in Alaska, many cruisers find themselves wandering the lot trying to remember exactly where they parked.

Reservations are strongly recommended during the busy Alaska cruise season, as multiple ships often sail from Seattle on the same day. Booking ahead also speeds up your arrival at the port.

Pier 66 (Bell Street Cruise Terminal)

If your cruise departs from Pier 66, you'll park in the Bell Street Parking Garage at 9 Wall Street.

This is one of the most convenient cruise parking garages in the country. It's directly across from the terminal and connected by a covered skybridge, allowing you to walk from your car to the cruise terminal without crossing any streets.

Parking currently costs $33 per day, or about $231 for a seven-night cruise. The covered garage offers approximately 1,700 parking spaces, including accessible parking close to the elevators.

The biggest thing to watch for is the garage's 6-foot, 6-inch height limit. If your vehicle exceeds that height, you'll need to make other parking arrangements, as oversized vehicles cannot be accommodated in the garage.

Like Pier 91, it's a good idea to reserve your parking in advance during peak cruise season.

A Few Tips Before You Go

Seattle's cruise season is busiest from May through September, and embarkation days can bring heavy traffic around both terminals. Plan to arrive early and allow extra time, especially if more than one ship is sailing that day.

If you're not comfortable driving into downtown Seattle, rideshare services, taxis, and hotel shuttles are all popular alternatives. If you're flying into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, the Link Light Rail provides an inexpensive way to reach downtown, though you'll still need a taxi or rideshare to Pier 91.

No matter which terminal you're sailing from, reserving parking ahead of time and knowing which pier your ship is using can make embarkation day much less stressful and get your Alaska vacation off to a smooth start.
